The all-new Ford Grand Tourneo Connect was developed as part of the Ford-Volkswagen alliance. The engineering and manufacturing is led by Volkswagen, working in close partnership with Ford’s design team. Volkswagen will build the Tourneo Connect at its Poznan Plant in Poland alongside the VW Caddy.

The Ford has a wider and more pronounced radiator grille, flanked by headlights with integrated C-shaped LED daytime running lights. Inside the vehicle, the Ford has a new instrument panel design with a unique Ford steering wheel, new seat trims and new door trim grain patterns. The Ford engines are shared with the new Caddy – a 1.5-litre turbocharged gas engine with 114 bhp (85 kilowatts).
