Did you know that every year, we collect customers’ feedback and recognise the top scooter and powered wheelchair dealers on the Motability Scheme? In this article, we explain how you can check if a dealer has won or been nominated for any of these awards.
When you’re looking for a scooter or powered wheelchair dealer on the Motability Scheme, you can use our handy ‘Find a dealer’ tool to search for local dealers by area. It allows you to view their address, opening hours, contact information and more, helping you to choose the right dealer for you.
When searching on the tool, you might also notice that some dealers have a symbol underneath their names, which says if they have won a Motability Dealer Award in the past five years. You can see an example of this below:
If you see this sign, that means that the dealer has won an award from the Motability Scheme in the past five years, for having achieved a particularly high standard of customer service. When you click onto their details, you’ll find more information about the specific awards they’ve won:
The annual Motability Dealer Awards are there to recognise powered wheelchair and scooter dealers who have displayed a high level of service and care towards their customers. They are based purely on customer feedback, so you can be assured that the winners have been recommended by other Motability Scheme customers.
The awards are split across three categories, depending on the size of their dealership. Each category has one winner and four commended dealers. The results of the 2022 Motability Dealer Awards are as follows:
Highly commended: Seacroft Mobility, Mobility & Lifestyle, Wheelfreedom and Parkgate Mobility
Highly commended: Scootermart Mobility Centre, Berwick Mobility, NBR Mobility and The Hearing & Mobility Store
Highly commended: O’Brien Mobility, Access Able, Out n About Mobility and Go Mobility
If you are a Scheme customer leasing a scooter or powered wheelchair, you may be contacted by phone or text to ask for feedback on your dealer. This is one of the reasons why it’s important to keep us updated with your correct contact details.
If you want to check or amend any of your contact information, you can do so using the Motability Scheme online account. You can also use your account to view other useful information about your lease, and add or update your bank details so that you can receive any payments from us via bank transfer (rather than by cheque).
