Murtas Motorcycles is a new electric bike manufacturer in Europe. Murtas is based in Pierrelatte, near Montélimar in France, and is run by Patrice Murtas, who is responsible for the Super Soco brand entering French soil in 2021.
Murtas opened in early 2023, and now, in just three months, has unveiled two models of electric scooters, the MX1 and MX2. Differentiated by their battery options, both models have identical performance levels to 125cc combustion scooters.

The MX1, is identical to the MX2 model, but offers only one battery pack, while two 5.76 kWh batteries are included in the MX2 with 220 km of range. The MX1 gets only one battery pack, and as such, will have half the autonomy. Both models take five hours to fully charge their batteries.
In terms of performance, the MX range has an engine with a continuous output of 4kW, and a maximum power of 7 kW (about 9.5 hp) and 180 Nm of torque, offering a top speed of 100 km/h.
